You go somewhere like Wal Mart's and you still haven't found that extra gift you wish to find. Its Christmas Eve and all of the stores are going to be closing soon. Been there, done that before myself. What to do??? Get that special someone something really good. A sock monkey! But you bee out of luck if you bee at Wal Mart - they do not sell them.
I got a sock monkey for Christmas when I was a kid and I loved it. Queenie Bee already made me a sock monkey, else a sock monkey would be at the very top of my Christmas wish list. Instructions For Making The Red-Heel Sock Monkey Toy are given at this Internet link. The price - whatever one pair of 'Rockford Red Heel Socks' costs (and where does one find such socks?). Queenie Bee found a pattern kit (complete with the right pair of socks) at Wal Mart (of all places) for $9.99. That was in April of 2002 - and we don't know if Wal Mart still stocks it. |
